I read an article in Wired Magazine about something called Mannerschplitz or some other marginally comprehensible german name for "Men's Playground".
Simple idea, get a small piece of property, do manly things on it. Break rocks with sledgehammers. Drive large construction equipment. Zip around on 4wheelers and dune buggies. Shoot bows & arrows. Even play a little paintball.
It's marketed to corporate parties, bachelor parties, pre-booked tickets, etc. Sounds like an easy cross-over business to generate revenue using nothing but existing property, insurance, and rental equipment.
So I recommended it to this scenario producer I knew. I don't think it was taken seriously. Probably just deleted along with a bunch of other ideas.
Somebody in Vegas kicked started part of that business, during the worst recession that town has ever seen. May be there is something to it after all...
