    More 'Innovation' from GI Milsim!

    By TB on Oct 19, 2009 | In TB's Soapbox | 4 feedbacks »

Yep, you heard me right. Supposedly this is the innovation of the company that is paintball 2.0, but the truth is what the fuck ever. Take a look at the two markers that they are pushing to 'Military and Law-enforcement' aspects of things. Now while they may think that they are being slick sending people all over the internet saying that this isn't geared towards scenario/rec-ball they really need to wake up and smell what they are shoveling.

Here is the first look at the GI50. See if it looks like something I reviewed here a few months back:

Yep it is indeed the SP1 just in a smaller barrel breach size. Don't believe me? Here is another look:

And then we have the cornerstone of the GI Milsim armory (that's a direct quote BTW) the FM50. Now it looks just like any other mech gun that is out there and has the standard magazine well to make it look like a real gun. Because that is what all the cool kids are carrying out there in the scenario world.

    Here are the photos:

And of course the breakdowns and the proverbial looks like an M-16 shot:

    and

And here is the big innovation. You ready? Ta-Da!!!! The International version of this marker that makes it safe and friendly in over 23 foreign countries around the world.

Hell, this sells me on em. Think I will go buy one as soon as I can. Oh wait a minute, I don't believe in this shit. I forgot, in my haste to be one of the cool kids I forgot that this is all a bunch of crap aimed at the guys who want to play army and look the part. And if these fuckers at GI Milsim really think that all the people who play airsoft like about airsoft is how they look, they haven't done enough research. This one is free, you ready? Two things that airsoft players love over paintball; 1) No Air Tanks and 2) no mess of paint on their expensive BDU's. And last time I checked those are the major differences in paintball and airsoft. I wonder how those guys over at GI Milsim are going to beat that. ;)

Maybe the smaller caliber will let someone come out with a battery operated paintball marker next. Damn! That has been done already too and it didn't last that damn long either. So much for innovation!

Become a part of the Valken social family.

Valken is starting it's social networking family on Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook.

Join with Valken Family at Facebook, Myspace and Twitter to get up to date info.

JJ and the guys at Valken are going to be setting some worlds on fire. I spoke to JJ at the NJ Nam game and I hope to be getting some stuff in here soon to test and report on. I know that they will be shooting Valken paint at Fulda Gap so I will report back then on the paint but JJ always rep good companies and good paint.

Valken Sports can be accessed here for more information.

Another shot of the internals of the new Tippmann

By TB on Oct 17, 2009 | In Miscellaneous | Send feedback »

So here is another shot, I am told this was developed outside Tippmann and based on this look, appears to be similar in style to the old Emag. Electro and Mechanical? Well about damn time Tippmann. I might actually shoot one of these. I have been told the Hellions had a few out at CPX a few weeks ago and that it was either them or one of the other Tippy sponsored teams running them down at the SPPL event. Word on the street is, really light, really short and even has an air through grip.

    Take a look.

Tiberius Arms Releases the Tac 8.1

    By TB on Oct 17, 2009 | In Press Releases | 2 feedbacks »

Tiberius Arms is pleased to announce the release of the new T8.1 pistol, the new standard for paintball pistols. The T8.1 comes equipped to fire the revolutionary new First Strike projectiles, in addition to standard .68 caliber paintballs. The new hard anodized, solid aluminum upper receiver allows a remote to be attached directly to the marker (optional remote kit required) and provides unmatched durability. Player’s will also appreciate the removable under-mount tac-rail, side dovetailed iron sights, and dual rubber detents that improve versatility and performance. The transformation wasn’t complete without upgrading the magazine… a lightweight, all metal mag that field strips for cleaning in seconds, and features a low profile tool-less quick puncture for changing 12 grams on the fly. The best part of the upgrade, the price... $(you didnt think I'd post a price here did you?). Consider the bar raised!

I will be getting one of these as I am a huge fan of the Tac 8's and not so much of the TPX. I'll be sure to report back on this when I get my TAC 8.1 in.
